Richard Matias, better known as Stay Rich was born and raised in the Bronx, New York during the greatest time in hip hop music. With artists like Tupac, DMX, and Eminem playing everywhere from stoops to subway cars it wasn’t long before he fell in love with music. Music became his life. He loved the beats, the Bars, the melody…he loved everything hip hop. Once hip hop took over him, a star was born. 

 

On(month/year) rich officially announced to his friends and family, that he would chase his dream and become a rapper. He traveled to Atlanta, GA where he performed almost nightly. After blessing the stages of K.O.D, Monaco Hookah Lounge, Miami Lounge, and Fox Phase 2 Lounge, he knew it was time to come back home. Since he returned to New York, Stay Rich has performed at multiple locations, most recently at the Shrine Lounge in Harlem and Club Iguana New York. He has thousands of followers across multiple social media platforms and continues to grow daily. 

 

With hits like “3rd Season” and “You Saw It” turning up the airwaves, it's clear to see that this raw uncut artist has a bright future ahead of him. From headlining at clubs to speaking facts on podcasts Stayrich is fast becoming NYC'S next big artist.
